Hwy. 83 S Will Be Resurfaced

Jasper County has received a $3.039 million investment for major highway resurfacing set to improve State Route 83 from the Monroe County line to downtown Monticello at Washington Street.

This 13.63-mile project will be completed before March 31, 2022 by prime contractor C.W. Matthews Contracting Co. Georgia.

DOT will announce lane closures in advance of construction activities.
