Marshall Eugene Tinsley

Marshall Eugene Tinsley, 76, of Monticello, died May 9, 2021.

Mr. Tinsley was born December 3, 1944 in Monticello to Jessie Mae Appling and Charlie Tinsley. Marshall served in the United States Army for two years as a specialist. He worked as a self-employed carpenter/contractor where he did jobs for many companies buildings homes, doing renovations, and was a caretaker on a farm.

Mr. Tinsley was a man of many talents. He was a devoted Mason who held the title of 33rd Master Mason. He was a member of the Masab Temple #11, past master of Forsyth Lodge #425, past Grand Senior Stewart at Most Worshipful Lodge of Georgia and J.H. Walker Consistory #14.

In his free time, he loved working in his yard and helped others within the community. There was nothing he would not do for anyone. His favorite things to do were playing cards, fishing, church and Mason where he enjoyed being a part of the Lodge.

Most dear to his heart was his daughter, Yolanda. She was the light to his eyes and his life. Marshall loved his family and would do anything for them. He was a very special man and he will be missed.

Mr. Tinsley was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jessie Mae Appling and Charlie Tinsley; sister, Alberta Kelly, and brother, Dave Tinsley.

He is survived by his daughter, Yolanda Wilson; grandchildren, Travis and Zackery Wilson (Nicole); great-grandchildren, A’Darrian, Camryn, Jamar, Jazlyn and Kingston Wilson; sisters, Ruthie Mae Richard and Martha Arelene White (Rufus); brothers, Charlie and Willie Tinsley, and many nieces and nephews.
