Items Are Stolen From Vehicles
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) are investigating several cases of entering an auto, as well as other thefts during the last week.
At least two autos on Lakeshore Drive were entered. However nothing was taken from one, and a laptop and change were taken from another.
In addition, someone entered an auto at 311 Wyattt Road and took tools.
Also, a resident on Swan Court reported his boat battery being stolen, and a resident on Bullard Road reported a cell phone missing.
Items were taken from a construction site at Sac-O-Suds, but investigation revealed it is a civil matter.
Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Tony Rudolph Boone, 62, Monticello—probation violation and drugs not in original container (3 counts).
•Shane Dillon Griffith, 29, Covington—probation violation.
•Christopher Britton Capell, 38, Monticello—criminal damage to property to simple battery.
•Robin Maryann Cobb, 35, Monticello—probation violation.
•Michael Dexter Steffey, 37, Monticello—criminal attempt to commit a felony and violation of Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act.
•Stacey Wayne Moore, 51, Covington—use of communication facility in commission of a felony, criminal attempt to commit a felony, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and violation of Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act.
•Alehandjro Prescott, 44, Savannah—obstruction of a law enforcement officer, obedience to traffic control device and driving without a license.
•Ashley Renae Enrique, 26, Monticello—criminal trespass, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and probation violation.
•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, 58, Monticello—probation violation.
•Robbie Lynn Yoder, 21, Rossville—criminal trespass.
•James Earl King, 26, Monticello—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.
•Allen Murphy Marone, 27, Warner Robins—criminal attempt to commit a felony and violation of Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act.
•Terry Earl McCullers, 45, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine.
•Carey Leigh Leggett, 51, Shady Dale—hold for warrant in Rockdale Co.
•Holly Marie Taylor, 38, Decatur—probation violation.
