Light Docket Results in Few Sentences
Judge Alison Burleson presided over the Jasper County Superior Court criminal, civil and arraignment calendars last week.
Jarron McKnight was sentenced to one year in Jasper County jail on a lesser charge of giving false information to a law enforcement officer. He was credited with time served since November 2019.
Billy Watson was sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, tampering with evidence, and obstruction of an officer. Additionally, for violating his previous probation conditions he was ordered to enter a long term residential substance abuse treatment program for no less than six months and complete it. Fined $1,000.
Probation revocations include the following:
Joseph Hickok, 90 days revoked to the Jasper County jail for three positive drug tests and failure to pay court fines.
Benjamin Perkins, 90 days revoked to the Jasper County jail for failure to report to probation, making contact with a victim, failure to obtain substance abuse and mental health evaluation, and failure to pay court fees.
Shane Griffith, 60 days revoked to the Jasper County jail for committing a new offense.
Holly Taylor, 30 days in Jasper County jail for failure to report to the probation office and a positive drug test.
John Krienke, sentenced to 64 hours of community service for new offenses of driving under the influence and child endangerment.
