Dianne Nichols Tarr

Dianne Nichols Tarr, age 69, of Monticello, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at Piedmont Newton Hospital in Covington.

Dianne Tarr was born in Griffin, on April 24, 1952 to the late Grantland Eugene Nichols and Joyce Nelson Cooper. She was raised in College Park, and graduated from College Park High School.

Before retirement, Dianne worked as a bus driver for the Henry County school system. She lived in Jackson before moving to Monticello eight years ago. She was a member of New Rocky Creek Baptist Church in Mansfield.

Dianne enjoyed traveling, working with people- especially battered women and collecting pottery items.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew A. Tarr of Monticello; sons, Grant (Terry) Ivie of Locust Grove and Clint (Yasmine) Ivie of Germany; Chyna Ivie, Carter Ivie, Cameron Ivie, Morgan Guion and Khali Guion; and great- grandchildren, Ruth Ivie and Alden Ivie.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
