Piedmont Shotgun Teams Honored
The Piedmont Academy Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity Shotgun teams recently held their end of the season banquet at the FFA Center where the team members were recognized and the varsity members received their state championship rings.
The JV team consist of: Jake Harmon, Austin Anglin, Ryder Selman, Reid Carter, Carly Maddox, Rayce Vaughn, Corbett Crews, Morgan Hayes, Ty Delamar, Davis Downs, Barrett Downing, Braxton Floyd and Jase Swafford.
The varsity team members: Jace Harrison, Drake Tingler, Emory Hilliard, Ethan Keck, Greta Wilkes, Jake Vaughn, Rhett Harris, Anthony Brown, Nicholas Nyman, Ray LeCroy, Drew Maddox, Dylan Thompson, Steven Blair and Brody Anderson.
The teams are coached by Head Coach: Andy Maddox, Assistant Coaches: Hal Harris, Lauren Hilliard, John Hilliard, David Thompson, Russell Downs, and Brad Downing.
The following awards were given to team members:
Sporting Clay varsity awards—first place, Drew Maddox; second place (tie) Dylan Thompson and Rhett Harris; and third place, Emory Hilliard; fourth place, Jake Vaughn; and fifth place, Ray LeCroy.
Skeet varsity awards—first place, (tie) Drew Maddox and Jake Vaughn; second place, Dylan Thompson; third place, Rhett Harris; fourth place, Emory Hilliard; and fifth place, Ray LeCroy.
