Cases Are Heard in Superior Court

Jasper Superior Court produced several probation sentences from its criminal court calendar. Those sentences are as follows:

Michael A. Dempsey, sentenced to six years with the first two years in confinement for two counts of driving while license suspended, two counts of hit and run, reckless driving, and possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,000.

Allen M. Humphries, sentenced to five years of probation for identity fraud and financial transaction card theft. Fined $1,500.

Benjamin C. Kraft, sentenced to five years of probation for possession of a schedule II controlled substance, crossing the guard line with contraband, driving without a license, and taillight violation. Fined $2,000.

Alvin A. Bailey, sentenced to five years of probation for crossing the guard line with contraband, possession of cocaine, and possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,500.

Brandon R. Lind, sentenced to four years with the first 90 days in Jasper County jail for two counts of possession of methamphetamine. He was credited with time served since April 2002 and fined $1,500.

David D. Millwood, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,000.

Jaquana J. Simmons, sentenced to one year of probation for possession of marijuana. Fined $500.

Probation revocations included:

Victoria B. Smith, probation revoked to state penal system until May 2024 for probation violations.

Robert M. Iacopelli, probation revoked to 180 days in jail suspended upon entry into a state probation detention center for 180 days for positive drug tests and failed polygraph tests.

Scotty W. Mayfield, probation revoked to 100 days in jail for probation violations.

Bobby R. Davis, probation revoked to 45 days in jail for probation violations.

Randall C. Hegwood, probation revoked to 30 days in jail for probation violations.
