Jimmy Dean Patton

Jimmy Dean Patton, 82, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022, at St. Mary’s Health Care System in Athens.

Jimmy Patton was born on July 24, 1939 to the late Carson Patton and Lucinda Patton. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

Jimmy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired after 20 years of service. He lived in Riverdale, before moving to Jasper County over 35 years ago. After moving to Jasper County, Jimmy was a self-employed carpenter.

Jimmy enjoyed playing golf and woodworking. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Ann Jessee Patton of Monticello; sons, Mark Patton of Boaz, Ala. and Alex (Carol) Patton of Boca Raton, Fla.; and granddaughter, Lauren Patton of Newport Beach, Calif.
