Fight Ends In Arrests, Injuries
An altercation Saturday night at the Turtle Cove Clubhouse resulted in some subjects being arrested, and others requiring medical attention.
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) responded, bringing order to the situation. The JCSO was not prepared to report on the incident, offering to do so next week after investigation is complete. However, some persons have been arrested, and they are included in this arrest booking which covers from last Tuesday to this Tuesday. In addition, following this week’s arrest booking is last week’s as it did not make it in last week’s Monticello News.
Those arrested between January 17 and 24, and their charges, include:
•Kevin Dewayne Delee, 33, Monticello—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge
•Frank James Keremes, 57, Monticello — possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale of marijuana
•Selina Souphouh Siharath, 27, Montgomery, AL—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge (2 counts)
•Vashon Leon Traylor, 33, Monticello—hold for Newton County
•Caressa Lenore Jackson, 38, Monticello —driving while license suspended or revoked, DUI – driving under the influence of alcohol (second offense), failure to maintain lane, failure to stop at a stop sign, willful obstruction of law enforcements officer
•Michael Allan Ross, Jr, 34, Kathleen—failure to maintain lane
•Jason Durden, 35, Covington—hold for Barrow County
•John James Reeves, 56, Monticello—brake lights and turn signals required, driving without a valid license
•Justin Roy Davies Phillips, 21, Monticello—driving while license suspended or revoked, Purchase, Possession, Manufacture, Distribution or Sale of Marijuana, driving on wrong side or road, tail lights, fleeing/eluding police officer
•Richard James Smith, 39, Monticello—affray (fighting)
•Garrett Phillip Hill, 26, Monticello—battery
•Tyler Scott Betsill, 26, Monticello—Affray (fighting)
•Demetrius Myliek Lightly, 27, Lamar, SC —endangering the life of a child—DUI—Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
•Ke’andre Davon Stokes, 27, Covington—driving while license suspended or revoked
•George Maurice Alexander Jr, 58, Atlanta—probation violation
•Ricky Lamar Nelson Jr, 39, Molena—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge
•Danett Michelle Flis, 48, Monticello— driving while license suspended or revoked
•Jaylin Tyree Cortez Thurman, 28, Monticello—willful obstruction of law enforcement officers
•Kelli Lindsay Helderbrand, 32, Monticello—giving false name, address, or birthdate to law enforcement officer
