Drugs Found, Arrests Made
The morning of April 11, deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Hwy. 142. After a brief investigation, Montreon Davis, 35, of Sparta was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule 1 Controlled Substance, possession of marijuana, less than an ounce, and traffic offenses.
The photo shows what was seized: a glass jar that contained 24 suspected MDMA (ecstasy) pills, clear plastic containing suspected marijuana, a red scale, and a Glock 20 10mm handgun that had a full 15-round magazine inserted into it.

•Branden Calmnes, 36, Atlanta—forgery/third degree
•Diquan Jamal Johnson, 26, Monticello—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge
•Michael Allen Loftis, 32, Monticello—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge
•Jessica Jasmine Fernandez, 20, Monticello—battery/family violence
•Oliver Northous Jackson, 35, Monticello—aggravated assault, probation violation, contempt of Superior Court, deposit account fraud
