Monticello High School’s Athletic Department and Board of Education recently added another opportunity for local students to become involved in Georgia High School Association (GHSA) level competitive sports with the addition of a new volleyball program at the high school and middle school levels.

Head coach at the high school is Ashleigh Kelly, a recent graduate of Middle Georgia State University who is in her first year teaching in Monticello. The team is playing a junior varsity schedule this season, and consists of 15 girls, 9th – 11th grades. The first two games were scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday this week.
