Breaking: Candidates for General Election Revealed

The News has learned the names of qualifiers for the upcoming general election on November 7 for the City of Monticello.

Qualifying for mayor pro-tem are incumbent Doug Currie and Teresa Saunders.

Qualifying for District 1, Post 2 are incumbent Cynthia Miller, Dyshon Norwood, and Gail Harrell.

Qualifying for District 2, Post 2 are incumbent Jenny Murphy and Melissa Watson.
