Train Goes Off Track

The Northern Southern train went off the rails, literally, Tuesday morning while traveling through Shady Dale. A News photographer responded to several tips from area residents in time to capture these photos. Norfolk personnel on site declined to comment on the incident. Norfolk Southern Corporation is one of the nation’s railway transportation companies. Norfolk Southern Railway, a subsidiary of the corporation, operates 19,500 route miles in 22 states.
