Early Voting Continues

Voting for the upcoming city of Monticello election has hit the 100 total votes cast mark in the early voting period.

It’s a big jump from last week as only 22 votes were cast as of press time last week. With approximately 2,000 citizens registered to vote in this election, this puts the total voter turnout to five percent, up from 1.1.

Early voting will continue until Friday, Nov. 3, with one last Saturday session this Saturday, Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All voting will take place in the basement of the courthouse on the square.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 7.
