Vehicular Homicide Charged In Wreck
Norman Lyle Lastinger, 62, of Forsyth has been charged with homicide by vehicle, failure to maintain lane, and reckless driving as a result of a motor vehicle accident last October.
The warrants for Mr. Lastinger allege he has a medical condition that should have prevented him from driving, and claims he recklessly placed himself and other motorists in danger.
Daniel Hubbard of Barnesville was killed in the accident on Hwy. 83 south in Jasper County.
Other persons booked into the Jasper County Detention Center and facing charges this week include:

•Christopher Hunter Bell, 27, Covington—possession of open container in Vehicle Passenger Area; Failure to Maintain Lane; DUI – Driving under the Influence of Alcohol
•Clifford William Braxley, 32, Milledgeville—probation violation
•Kiree Jalil Miller, 24, Lawrenceville—Marijuana/possession of less than an ounce
•Jamarius Antwon Hall, 32, Atlanta—willful obstruction of law enforcement officers (four counts); speeding
•Khylia Rakel Stewart, 26, Monticello—probation violation
•Trista Victoria Wheeler, 26, Sautee Nacoochee—failure to appear for a fingerprintable charge
•Zychez Nequn Nolley, 17, Monticello—windshields and windshield wipers; headlights; No Drivers License on Person; Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
•Erin Denise Shumate, 30, Madison—probation violation
