Hayden Grace Herndon

Hayden Grace Herndon, age 6, of Shady Dale, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Hayden Herndon was born on October 29, 2017, in Conyers, to James Robert Herndon and Chelsea Anne Billings. She attended Kindergarten at the Jasper County Primary School.

Hayden was preceded in death by her grandfather, Wesley Duvall; and uncle, Shane Griffith.

Hayden loved spending time at the beach and playing in the water. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and her cats. She loved her vibrating toys as well as bright lights. Hayden loved playing peek-a-boo with her blankets and rocking in her rocking chair and stroller. She also loved to swing and being tickled. Hayden had the most contagious laugh and infectious smile that lit up a room; and to know her was to love her.

Her memory will be cherished by her father, James Robert Herndon of Monticello; mother, Chelsea Anne Billings (Harlan Duvall) of Shady Dale; sisters, Ryleigh Duvall and Mckenzeigh Duvall of Shady Dale; grandparents, Jeff and Ashley Miller of Covington, Tonya and Dwayne Herndon of Monticello, Robert and Amanda Billings of Monticello and Tabitha Huckeba of Social Circle; great-grandparents, Bob and Pat Billings of Monticello, Henry and Kay Herndon of Monticello and Barbara and Terry Kitchens of Milledgeville; and aunts and uncles, Cadee (T.J.) Ellis, Candie (Sean) Stacey, Joe Billings, Zack Billings, Blake Grimsley, Greg (Michelle) Humphries, William and Tiffany Humphries, Brooklyn Huckeba, Serenity Huckeba, Johnny Smith and many more.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the Monticello Baptist Church. Interment will be held in Williams Payne Cemetery. Terry Ryles will officiate.

Pallbearers will be James Herndon, Harlan Duvall, Jeff Miller and Dwayne Herndon.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2024, at the Monticello Baptist Church.
