Superior Court Sentences Listed
Jasper Superior Court conducted a criminal session motion day under the jurisdiction of Judge Terry Massey last Tuesday. The following sentences were a result of his rulings.
•Nukemar A. Batten, Jr., sentenced to 10 years with the first 240 days in Jasper County jail for two counts of aggravated assault and battery. Fined $1,000 and credited with time served from May 2024 until August 2024.
•Charles Leggett, sentenced to 10 years with the first 90 days in jail for failure to register as a sex offender, Fined $2,000 and credited with time served from June 2024 until August 2024.
•Skyler Price, sentenced to three years with jail time suspended upon entry into a long-term in-patient substance abuse treatment program for possession of methamphetamine, giving false information to an officer, driving while license suspended. Fined $1,000 and credited with time served from July 2024 until August 2024.
•Destiny Peters, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine. Fined $1,000.
•Tiffany Michel, sentenced to three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and theft by taking. Fined $1,500.
•Charlotte Dobbs, sentenced to one year of probation for possession of marijuana. Fined $500.
•Ernest Redding, sentenced to six months of inpatient substance abuse treatment program for reckless conduct and obstruction of an officer.
•Kent Miller, sentenced to 60 days in jail for giving false information to an officer and obstruction of an officer. Credited with time served from July 2024 until August 2024.
Probation modifications include:
•Eric Hardwick, probation revoked to 300 days in jail with credit served since January 2024 for new offenses in Morgan County and Greene County and failure to pay court fees. Upon release from jail, he must enter into and complete a minimum six month long term inpatient treatment program.
•Larisa Shaw, probation revoked to Georgia Department of Correction residential substance abuse treatment program suspended upon completion of a minimum nine month long term inpatient treatment program. The defendant tested positive for drugs, failed to report to probation office, moved without permission, failed to provide proof of substance abuse evaluation, and failed to pay court fees.
•Teri Tyler, probation revoked to 60 days in jail for failure to report to probation, failure to complete 12 step meetings, failure to complete drug evaluation, failure to pay court fines, failure to complete community service, positive drug test, and new offense.
•Terry McCullers, probation revoked to six months in a long term in patient treatment program for positive drug test..
•Maynard Ratzel, probation revoked to attending probation of no less than two AA meetings per week for next 30 days for admitted drug use.
