Few Cases Are Settled In Jasper Superior

A lengthy criminal court calendar in Jasper Superior Court October 1 only yielded a few sentencings as many cases were arraigned or continued.

Isaac M. Gilliam, sentenced to one year of probation for a theft by receiving stolen property guilty plea. He was credited with time served from September 2024 until October 2024 and fined $500.

Jashua K. Stimphil, sentenced to one year of probation for theft by shoplifting guilty plea. He was credited with time served since August 2024 until October 2024 and fined $500.

Probation modifications include:

Anthony E. Parker, revoked to 56 days in Jasper County jail for being kicked out of multiple homeless shelters following sheriff transport and failing to notify officers of his whereabouts.

Tiffany Michael, revoked to 30 days in jail for fialure to report to the local DCS office for initial intake.

Collen Howe, revoked to 30 days in jail for driving while license suspended or revoked and failure to pay court fines.

Also, Barry G. Dendy, currently awaiting felony trial, was denied bond on two separate warrants involving two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony and aggravated stalking. Both were denied on the basis that “the defendant poses a significant risk of committing a new felony pending trial and poses a significant risk of intimidating witnesses.”

Jesse B. Maddox was relieved of a bench warrant and bond forfeiture of a criminal case as the defendant is deceased.
