Volley Cougars End Season Successfully

It was a memorable 2024 season for the Piedmont Academy volleyball team.

The Volley Cougars posted 14 wins and qualified for the GIAA state tournament. Despite its successful regular season, Piedmont was only given a 12 seed and had to face No. 3 seed St. Andrew’s in the opening round of state.

The Lady Cougars fell 3-0 in scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-14. The loss in the opening round of state snapped a five game winning streak for Piedmont as the Lady Cougars entered the postseason with wins against Jones County (2-0), Gatewood (3-0), Tattnall Square (3-0), Jasper County (3-0) and Stratford Academy (3-2).

Piedmont was led by seniors Daylin Meadows, Samantha Gray and Bailey Bernard.
