Tie-Breaker Makes A Winner

Steve Jordan is the lucky winner of this week’s Monticello News Football Contest, and for his effort he picked up a $25 prize from Headmaster Clint Welch at Piedmont Academy, sponsor of the week.

Mr. Jordan was one of three players to correctly pick the winner of 13 games listed in last week’s Monticello News contest. He guessed a tie-breaker score of 38, and Monticello beat social Circle 31-29, making 60 the actual tie-breaker. The other two players with 13 right were both Greenways, and they each guessed lower on the tie-breaker. Maylie Greenway and James Greenway each had 13 right.

Mr. Jordan had faith in the Monticello Hurricanes and in the Georgia Bulldogs, and those helped him pull off his win. Several other players got 12 right to have their names added to the Grand prize honor roll for a chance at four premium tickets to the Chick-Fil-A/Peach Bowl on January 1, 2025.

This week gives players another chance to make the honor roll and/or win the $25 prize from Monticello Auto Parts, sponsor of the week.
