Joey Wayne Derting ‘Sparky’ Inman

Joey (aka Sparky) Wayne Derting Inman died Septembe 24, 2024.

A Rajun Cajun by family descent (mother’s side) and a man of many talents & hobbies; lover of life, passion for romance, dancing, traveling, acting, working as an engineer data com specialist, collecting hats, smoking meats, bbq’s/cooking cajun dishes his favorite was jambalaya.

He was born July 12, 1954. He loved family life and also enjoyed having a good scotch and cigar or pipe on occasion while relaxing watching sports and or the great outdoors!

Joey was an amazing husband, grandfather, stepfather, uncle and friend to many. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and sister.

He is survived by his wife Wanda, step children & spouses Rebecca and Adam Robertson, George Childers and Amber Olienik, Rachel and Zackary Childers Cole; grandchildren Michael and Teryn, Eleanor, Robertson Augustus and (Soon to be newest family member) Lilliana Cole and many, many friends which some he considered close family.

His life was cut way too short by several ailments which advanced rapidly caused by an injury/infection. He will be forever missed, loved and thought of often! Our family has lost a wonderful man, until we meet again, “Laissez Les Bons Temp Rouler!” (Let the good times roll).

Per his request we will host a Fais do-do (put the baby to bed and party on ) for his celebration of life. We will notify close family and friends at that time. Our family wants to give thanks for all the cards flowers and food, they were much appreciated!
