MAT COUGARS COMPETE IN FLORIDA

The Piedmont Academy wrestling team traveled to Florida last weekend for the 2025 Gator Brawl tournament in Wewahitchka. Several Mat Cougars performed well against extremely strong competition in the two-day event.

Jamus Wingate (pictured above) finished second at 165. Wingate is now 34-3 for the season. Caleb Benton was third at 144 with Austin Anglin third in the 106 division. Daniel Joseph earned fifth place at 157 with Braxton Floyd finishing sixth at 215. Scott Swann (132) and Trenton Jones (190) both finished seventh in their respective weight class with Noah Little (175) finishing seventh.
