JLA is committed to championing the interests and concerns of the vibrant Jackson Lake community.

“Our focus spans vital areas such as the environment, safety, and property protection, all aimed at ensuring Jackson Lake remains the wholesome sanctuary we call home.”

The primary goal of the Jackson Lake Association is to enhance the quality of life at Jackson Lake through education, communication, and fellowship. Your support will contribute to the success of these volunteer lead efforts highlighted below:

Education – Providing valuable information and resources to promote awareness and understanding of lake-related matters. JLA offers financial support, in securing annual certifications for the volunteer based JLA Water Testing Team. Communication is key, facilitating open and effective communication channels among our community members.

JLA members stay connected through dinner meetings, Facebook, website, email, and the printing, publishing, and administering of the quarterly newspaper, Jackson Lake Sun.

JLA was instrumental in the Trash Trap install at the southern tip of Dekalb County on the South River; after approximately 11 months, the trap has already collected and removed 40,000 pounds of trash that will never make it to Jackson Lake!! JLA also uses funds to provide gas and boat maintenance for routinely volunteer-led lake clean-up days.

Sponsorships aid in awarding annual “Lake Life” Art Contest Scholarships to winners from participating local Middle & High School Students in Butts, Henry, Newton & Jasper Counties.
