Individual Dies at Jasper Jail
A individual was found dead at the Jasper County Jail on the morning of February 2, and when The News learned the information, from the 911 reports, we questioned the sheriff’s office.
The reply was the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is investigating so talk to them. Calls were not returned last week, but on Monday the fifth phone call was answered. Special agent in charge, Mary Chandler, said it is an active investigation so little information is available. When asked for at least a name, she agreed to send what she could, and was informed of the newspaper’s deadline. As of 11:30 a.m. yesterday, Feb. 12, no information had been received.
Meanwhile, several persons were arrested this past week, and booked into the Jasper County Jail. Those individuals, and their charges, include:

•Erica Shay Hall, 28, Monticello—criminal trespass
•Leah Lynn Mims, 46, Monticello—theft by receiving stolen property
•Kendarius Rashawn Youngblood, 23, Eatonton—Receipt/Possession/ or Transport of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon; Parole Violation; Possession of Firearm or Knife During Commission of or Attempt to Commit Felony; Crossing State/County Guard Lines with Weapons, Intoxicants, Drugs without Consent; Tampering with Evidence; Littering Highway; Marijuana – Possess less than an ounce
•Dwytarius Davion Sanders, 28, Eatonton—Possession of Firearm or Knife during Commission of or Attempt to Commit a Felony; False Statements or Writing; Conceal Facts or Fraudulent Documents; Receipt/Possession or Transport of Firearm by Convicted Felon; Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance
•Kiefer Wayne Wood, 31, Monticello—Terroristic Threats and Acts
•Freddy De Jesus Leal Arape, 58, Norcross—failure to appear for a Fingerprintable Charge
•Breanna Latimore, 29, Monticello—Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance; Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance; Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects; Marijuana – Possess less than 1 ounce
•Jordan Curtis Sauls, 34, Social Circle—DUI/Driving under the Influence of Alcohol
•Dominique Trevese Hicks, 37, Newborn—Marijuana/possession less than an ounce
