Elizabeth Antoinette ‘Toni’ Sims Brown
Elizabeth Antoinette “Toni” Sims Brown, 61 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025 in Conyers.
Toni was born in Atlanta, to Kathryne Robertson Sims and the late Charles E. Sims, Sr. She graduated Summa cum laude from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 2005, with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Interior Design.
Shortly after graduation, Toni moved to New York to work for Tonychi Studios as a hotel hospitality interior designer. In 2007, she returned to Atlanta to work with the family business—Sims Superior Seating, Inc.
In 2019, she and her husband moved from mid-town Atlanta to Monticello to start a restaurant and live in their forever home.
Toni is survived by her husband of 16 years, Eric D. Brown of Monticello; mother, Kathryne Robertson Sims of Conyers; siblings, Melissa (Keith) Slettedahl of Tucker and Charles “Chuck” E. (Missy) Sims, Jr. of Griffin; nieces, Lydia Sims and Violet Slettedahl, first cousins, Scott Grant and Susan (Rob) Lanford; second cousins, Connor, Nikki, Kimberly, Levi and Jeffery, best friends, Raja, Gretchen, and Ethan.
A memorial service will be held at Jordan Funeral Home this Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Sheldon Landy will officiate.
