Opal Sue Bright Folendore

Opal Sue Bright Folendore, 76 of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2025 surrounded by family. Opal was born March 22, 1949 in Seneca, SC to the late Fredrick and Elizabeth Jones Bright.

She was born and raised in South Carolina and was a lifelong Baptist. In the early 80’s, Opal joined her husband Bo, in the Hillsboro area. Opal worked as a Dietician at Washington Park Elementary School and later retired as Dietician from Coliseum Hospital in Macon.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her loving husband, William “Bo” Evan Folendore; sister, Carolyn Coleman; and brother, Stanley Fredrick Bright.

Opal is survived by her children, Douglas (Kim) Coleman of Graysville, TN, Melissa (David) Biffle of Stockbridge, Vance Coleman of Macon, and Heather “Tommie” (Shannon) McCoy of Dry Branch; grandchildren, Matthew (Darren) Nook, Drew (Savannah) McCoy, William (Mckayla) Coleman, Kelsey (Mark) Shacklock, James Miller, Damion McCoy, Malcolm (Katelin) Coleman, Johnny Lee Jacob Coleman, and Savannah Coleman; and 14 beloved great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at Fullerton Memorial Gardens on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be at Jordan Funeral Home on Sunday, May 18, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Arrangements handled by Jordan Funeral Home.
