Peggy Anne Ellis
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Peggy Anne Ellis (née Bearden), who left this world peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 7, 2025.
Peggy was born in Monticello in 1935, and moved to Orlando in 1970, where she made her home.
Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband, James R. Ellis, daughters Holly Ellis, Penny McLaughlin and husband Mack, grandsons Ryan, Kyle McLaughlin and wife Brandy.
Peggy’s family was her heart, and she cherished the time spent with them, sharing laughter, love, and making lasting memories.
As a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Peggy found joy and purpose in her faith and the connections she built within her church community. Peggy had a way of making people feel special, and she was beloved by all who knew her. She had no enemies—just friends who admired her kindness and spirit.
When her children were younger, Peggy found great joy in being a Girl Scout leader, a role she held with pride as she nurtured and guided the next generation. Her leadership and care made a lasting impact on many, and her influence extended far beyond her immediate family.
She truly lived her life with warmth and grace, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. A private family service will be held to honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Asbury United Methodist Church in Maitland, FL in Peggy’s name.
