Ivah Irene Johnson Card
Ivah Irene Johnson Card was born March 29, 1941, to the late parents Mr. Willie B. Johnson and Mrs. Sarah J. Sands Johnson. She was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Ivah joined Freedonia A.M.E. Church at an early age, where she served as the Church Secretary for many years. Later on becoming a faithful Missionary and Stewardess, going to and from to every Missionary Program and Conference. Ivah loved Freedonia A.M.E. Church.
She loved cooking and baking. Her specialty was baking Red Velvet and Key Lime Cakes. She could cook anything and everything.
Ivah was a dedicated housekeeper for one family over fifty plus years.
She leaves to cherish her memories Two children son Percy Johnson and daughter Sherry Odom both of Monticello, Ga., Three grandchildren Kemetria L. Banks (Lonnie), Shaquayla N. Smith both of Monticello, Ga., Ardrecus (Jermonica) Banks of Eatonton, Ga., Four great-grandchildren Janequia Ellis of Lithonia Ga., Malyle Thurman, Malayha Thurman both of Monticello, Ga., Ziyan Reid of Eatonton, Ga., Three great-grandchildren of the heart: De’miria Glover, and Jileah Gude of Monticello, Ga., Indiya Waller of Eatonton, Ga., Three great-great grandchildren: Zhavia, Zhaer, and Zhariyah Ellis all of Lithonia , Ga.
These are children of the heart: Dank (Kim) Roberts, Tracey Roberts (Mike) Woods and their children whom she was in their life all of their lives. Lagree (Kayla, Emelyn Roberts of Guyton, Ga., Grace, Luke, and Freddie Behling of Savannah, Ga., Tony (Kali) Deleza of Greensboro, Ga. Wyley (Alice) of Monticello, Ga., Willie (Kelley) Roberts of New Bern, N.C. She loved them all but Lagree (Greebug) held a special place in her heart and she in his.
Two sisters: Dorothy F. Johnson, Frances A. Jackson, both of Monticello, Ga., Two sisters- In- Laws: Sallie Johnson of Hartford, Conn., Willie M. Johnson of Atlanta, Ga. A host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She also had nieces and cousins that held a special love for her in their hearts.
