Trisha Yearwood Is Headed To Town

Iconic singer, songwriter, author, chef and entrepreneur Trisha Yearwood will return to her roots next Thursday, July 24th, when she visits Monticello to sign copies of her latest album, The Mirror, an album she personally co-wrote and co-produced.
Celebrated for her unmatched vocals and storytelling, Trisha reaches an entirely new creative peak with this release—her sixteenth studio album and the first to feature her as a co-writer on every track.
Co-produced by Trisha and two-time GRAMMY® winner Chad Carlson, The Mirror captures the sound of an artist in full command of her voice, vulnerability, and vision.
“When I was 19 years old someone told me I wasn’t a songwriter, and I let that be the truth for a very long time,” says Trisha. “But at some point in the past few years, something shifted and I started writing and then just never stopped. You’d think that after all this time I’d have nothing new to share, but now I feel like I’m on a whole new adventure.”
Working with Trisha on the album were as many as 20 writers. She said a typical writing session looks like a few folks gathered around the kitchen table with a blank piece of paper and, after a few hours, if you’re lucky, you end up with a song. When you’re writing, it’s very personal, said the artist.
Trisha likened the music industry to being somewhat of a gypsy, where you’re traveling a lot, and every day is different. She wouldn’t have it any other way. She says that being married to someone who does the same thing she does (Yearwood is married to superstar Garth Brooks) is a blessing, because it’s not like a regular job with a routine, and it works really well to have a spouse who understands how this lifestyle works.
Trisha talked about returning to Monticello. She said Monticello’s all family. It’s such a special town, she said. She and her sister, Beth Bernard, will be in Monticello on July 24th to sign copies of the new album and visit briefly with lots of fans, who can purchase a CD or vinyl on the Square then move to the Visitors’ Center to have the album signed by the superstar. She will be here from 1 to 8 p.m. She has a hard stop at 8 p.m., said organizers, unlike the last time she visited and ended up staying at the Visitors’ Center into the wee hours of the morning.
This time, like last time, sister Beth Bernard, who is her neighbor now, will travel with Trisha for the signing. They are both looking forward to seeing old friends. Trisha said she does try to keep up with the folks back home, and says she comes back some, indicating too often it’s for a funeral. Yearwood says she and Beth know they won’t be able to visit with everyone as much as they would like but are looking forward to seeing everyone and getting a chance to say hello.
On July 18, the release day of her new album, Yearwood will perform live from Rockefeller Center as part of TODAY’s 2025 Citi Concert Series. The free concert will take place on the TODAY Plaza at 48th Street, between 5th and 6th Avenues in New York City, and is open to the public. The longtime Grand Ole Opry member will take the Opry stage in Nashville on July 19. Later, on July 22, she headlines the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s Trisha Yearwood and Friends Celebrate Linda Ronstadt and Los Angeles Country-Rock, a special evening featuring performances by Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, Patti Scialfa, and James Taylor. In addition to performances, Yearwood will meet fans during a series of special album signings in celebration of The Mirror’s release:

•July 19–Tulsa, OK–BOK Center, Home of Trisha’s ParTY Nachos

The Mirror marks a significant milestone in Yearwood’s career, showcasing her most personal songwriting to date and affirming her not just as a powerhouse vocalist, but as a deeply expressive storyteller.
As she steps into this new era, one thing remains the same: Trisha Yearwood’s voice—both as a singer and a songwriter—continues to move hearts and make history.
Trisha’s impact extends far beyond music. She is a New York Times-bestselling author, with four beloved cookbooks that celebrate her Southern roots. Her Emmy® Award-winning Food Network series, “Trisha’s Southern Kitchen,” has introduced fans to her warm, down-to-earth approach to cooking. She has also expanded into home and lifestyle design, creating cookware, furniture, and home accessories that reflect her signature style. In 2023, she co-opened Friends In Low Places, the largest bar and honky-tonk in Nashville’s Lower Broadway, featuring menus curated by Trisha herself.
Beyond her artistic and entrepreneurial success, Trisha Yearwood is deeply committed to philanthropy. She has been an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity, participating in numerous homebuilds alongside former President Jimmy Carter and first lady Rosalynn Carter. She has also been a strong advocate for breast cancer research, working to raise awareness and funding for life-saving treatments. Additionally, Trisha has contributed to disaster relief efforts, helping communities rebuild after natural disasters.
In 2021, Trisha established Dottie’s Yard, a charity dedicated to supporting animal shelters across all 50 states. Named after her beloved dog, Dottie, who lived to be 14 years old, Dottie’s Yard provides financial assistance to shelters, helping cover medical bills, nutrition, and basic needs for animals in need. Trisha’s dedication to giving back reflects the same warmth and generosity that define her music and career, making a lasting impact on both people and animals in need.
The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce will host the Yearwood daughters next Thursday, and any questions concerning the album signing may be addressed there, 706-468-8994.
