Cougars Baseball Looks To Regroup After Recent Outings

The Cougars (7-7 overall, 0-2 in region) have dropped their last three outings, including a 5-4 loss to region foe John Milledge Academy on March 27.

The game saw the host Trojans jump out to a 4-1 lead after the first inning, Piedmont added runs in the fifth, sixth and seventh but could not quite catch JMA.

Alex Statham was 2-for-4 with a run while Brayden Ross was 2-for-4 with a triple and run. Zach Simmons had a big day at the plate finishing 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Jack Adams was 2-for-4 with a homer, RBI and two runs scored. Tyler Griswell was 1-for-3 with a double and Ethan Barman was 1-for-2 with a double. Jamus Wingate drove in a run.

Statham and Adams both had stolen bases.
