‘How BAD Do you Really Want It?’
John 5:6
“When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, ‘Do you want to get well?’ (NIV)
Too often, we are waiting on someone else to help us attain our aspirations. We see it in front of us. We know what we need to do to get it. We know what it takes to accomplish it. Yet, sometimes we are guilty of self-defeat through excuses, procrastination and many times lack of preparation. It is dangerous to go before you know.
So answer these questions today: have I prepared before the pursuit? Am I putting forth the maximum effort to see my dreams and goals become a reality? What am I committing to God verses just asking to receive from God?
Never pursue something before it’s your time. You must go through a season of preparation before receiving what you are pursuing. All of us have squandered things that we weren’t prepared for but we wanted so bad. Having a title doesn’t replace the testimony. It’s okay to just “chill out.”
Let me explain that. Having a position doesn’t necessarily mean it qualifies you. Ignorance is not acceptable. Saying, “when God gifted or called me, he qualified me.” That is like saying a university conferred a degree upon you when they accepted you. NO! You have to register, take the course, pass the exams and pay the tuition. Everybody shows up for the graduation, but nobody is there when you get accepted. “Chill Out!”
How do you chill? Use some I.C.E.E. Maintain your Integrity. Maintain high moral Character. Remain Energetic. Get a good Education….then you can Chill!
PRAYER OF THE DAY:
“Dear Lord, I want it and you already know it. Yet, I know Father that it takes more than my desire. Help me maintain my integrity no matter what. I want to be identified as your servant through words and deeds. Help me maintain a high level of energy and accomplish a valuable education.
In Jesus’ Name….Amen!”
