‘Are You Attractive?’

Revelation 3:15-16

“15I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm – neither hot nor cold – I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” (NIV)

There are so many people who focus their attention on being physically attractive. They focus on their face, how they dress, how they work out, their diet. They focus so much on the intricate details of physical appearance that they fail to work on spiritual attractiveness.

Your physical appearance will get you noticed by people. But your spiritual attractiveness will prepare you for the purpose that God has for your life. What good is it to be attractive to people, but God not be attracted to what he’s looking at. Without faith, it’s impossible to please God.

There are many who please people, but let God down everyday. When you poll many Christians, people know where they are going, but don’t know what they are doing by faith to prepare. If there be no faith, then we can’t please God.

When it comes down to being attractive to God, it’s more than faith talk, but our faith walk. God isn’t moved by whining and complaining. He wants us to do more than talk about what we need to be doing and how we need to get ourselves together.

Launch out into the deep, be led by God and watch him smile at your faith. When we try to please people, we will fail every time. But seeking to please God will propel us into our destiny.

God looks at the heart. God is not attracted to the outward appearance. He looked beyond the appearance of Moses, David, Zachariah, Mary….and the list even includes you and I. He knows the heart and is attracted to its faith.

PRAYER OF THE DAY:

“Dear Lord, intensify my faith to a point that you are pleased with what you see. I want to be attractive to you in more than mere words. This is the day that I learn to follow you and listen for your voice. Help me to look beyond the outside and grow the inside to become a vessel that you love to see.

In Jesus’ Name….Amen!”
