Phillip Marks To Sign Books

Rev. Phillip Marks, Sr. of Fresh Word Fellowship Church in Raeford, N.C. will host a book signing Saturday, Sept. 1 from 8 a.m. until noon on the Monticello Square for his new book, “The Fresh Word Of The Day.”

The book is written as a 30 day devotional.

Rev. Marks, a native of Milledgeville, attended Mt. Zion A.M.E. Church in Shady Dale as a youth and he will be delivering the Homecoming sermon there next Sunday. Rev. Marks is a monthly column contributor to this publication.

He is the son of Leila Williams and the grandson of Fannie Marks and the late Peter Marks of Monticello.
