Starr Batchelor To Sing with Max Noah Singers
Starr Batchelor, a freshman Music Therapy major at Georgia College and State University, has been selected to be a part of the Max Noah Singers who will be debuting at Carnegie Hall on May 19th under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Morgan Flory.
Max Noah Singers is named for Dr. Max Noah, renowned choral conductor and chair of the department of music from 1935 to 1965. The group is an auditioned ensemble that acts as an ambassador for Georgia College and is made up of select singers with an emphasis on the study and performance of a variety of literature from madrigals and motets to the avant garde.
Miss Batchelor is a 2017 graduate of Jasper County High School and expresses gratitude to Chris Savage, the music/band director, for his guidance and encouragement as she made the decision to pursue a career in music.
