Lowe’s Stores, Employees Help Never Too Late Home

VOLUNTEERS BEGIN WORK AT NEVER TOO LATE FOSTER HOME

Volunteers from middle Georgia descended upon Monticello last week, coming together to begin the renovation process for Never Too Late.

Employees from Lowe’s in both Madison and Milledgeville volunteered their time to work on the group home. for boys in foster care. As part of the Lowe’s Hero Project, the two stores not only saw their employees donate their time, but the two stores also donated materials as well.

According to Never Too Late Executive Director Dr. John DeGarmo, “We are thrilled and honored by the great people at the two Lowe’s stores. They are completely refurnishing the second floor of the home, making it move in ready. Not only are they painting the entire floor, but they are also laying wood flooring, installing new light fixtures and fans, new toilets and vanities, windows for the upstairs, and even providing two washing machines and dryers for the main floor, as well. We are so grateful for Lowe’s and the wonderful volunteers, as they truly are launching our renovation process.”

The residential group home will be a home for boys in foster care throughout middle GA, ages nine-18. Sixty-five percent of the home will be funded by the state, with the additional 35 percent coming from private contributions, donations and grants.
