Spring Band Concert Set

The Monticello Community Band will present its spring concert Showtunes! on Thursday, April 28, in the Jasper County High School theater.

The concert will start at 7 p.m. and feature music from iconic Broadway shows, including Les Miserables, The Lion King, West Side Story and The Music Man.

The band will also award two Lifelong Music Scholarships.

Tickets are available at the Monticello – Jasper County Chamber of Commerce and The Snap’n Turtle children’s boutique in downtown Monticello.

Advance tickets are $5/person and $15/family. Tickets at the door for the concert are $10/person.

“The band is made up of a collection of local and regional musicians who really enjoy getting together to play on a monthly basis,” said Jehan El-Jourbagy, the conductor of the band.
