Karaoke Contest Set Friday

A karaoke contest is planned for tomorrow, June 26, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Val’s Red Clay Cafe on the Monticello Square.

The entry fee for contestants is $5, and there is no age limit. Contestants need to take their own karaoke music CD. Judges decisions are final.

There is a $2 admission fee per person for family, friends and the general public—not the contestant, and those 12 and younger are admitted free.

Val’s Cafe will serve dinner for those who want to dine while enjoying the music.

The karaoke contest is a fund raiser for the Jasper County Mentor Program.
