Graduates Are Honored

Inside today’s print edition of The Monticello News is a special Graduation Section featuring the Jasper County High School (JCHS) and Piedmont Academy Class of 2006.

Photographs of most of the students who will be graduating are included. In addition to the alphabetized portraits displayed, there are a number of candid shots, including the entire cover.

There are salutes to the graduates throughout the section, both from local businesses and proud parents.

In addition, there is school news on pages 8 and 9 of the regular paper. Featured on page 14 is a sampling of essays written by seniors in Mrs. Sharon Aiken’s English class at JCHS on the topic, “This I Believe.” Some are very moving.

Graduation exercises for JCHS are scheduled for this Saturday, May 20, at 8 p.m. Piedmont Academy’s commencement will be held Saturday, May 27, at 10 a.m.
