Local Author Will Speak at Decatur Book Festival

Local author Ted Dunagan is scheduled to do a presentation on his young adult novel, A Yellow Watermelon, at the Decatur Book Festival this Sunday, Sept. 6 between 2 and 2:30 p.m. at the Target Children’s Stage on the Roy Blount Plaza of the downtown Decatur Square.

Over the weekend 37 other children’s and young adult authors, including Kate DiCamillo, the author of “Because Of Winn Dixie,” a NY Times Bestseller and Newberry Award winner, will be appearing.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Decatur Book Festival, presented by DeKalb Medical, is the largest Independent Book Festival in the nation. In all it brings in more than 300 authors who give readings, talks, and participate in panel discussions. The event is free and open to the public.
