DNR Recognizes Adam McGinnis

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Division, has recognized Adam McGinnis as a member of the committee that was instrumental in developing the Georgia’s Deer Management Plan 2015-2024.

The committee aided in developing the nearly 100 page plan that outlines plans for managing white-tailed deer in Georgia. The white-tailed deer is the state’s most popular game species and was recently recognized as the official state mammal by the General Assembly.

During the most recent deer season, more than 400,000 deer were harvested by hunters in Georgia which economically, recreationally, and culturally contributed an excess of $890 million to georgia economy and supported more than 11,000 jobs.

Mr. McGinnis is a Jasper County native who owns and operates a real estate venture which is headquartered in Monticello.
