Food Bank Distribution Set

The Jasper County Food Bank will again host its “Third Thursday County-Wide Food Distribution” on August 20 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Food Bank Building located at 2171 Post Road in Monticello.

There is no cost or fee for this event which is available to any resident of Jasper County.

The food bank staff and volunteers want to thank and recognize local donors Cal-Maine, Harvest Baptist Food Bank and Crystal Organic Farm as well as Target, Walmart, and the Middle Georgia Food Bank. All have been generous contributors whose support allows for our weekly and special distributions to lessen food insecurity in Jasper County.

Again, the August 20 dustribution is open to ANY resident of Jasper County. We expect to provide over 50 pounds of free food to each family who participates. While we will not know for sure until next week, we expect to offer fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, eggs and meats as well as pantry staples.
