Book Signing Set December 12

Luella Ammons Jackson, a 1981 graduate of Jasper County High School, has written a children’s book, “Pattie Melt the Squirrel.”

The book is a story about friends who are facing real-life events. The author says she feels like the story can change how children view animals and their uniqueness.

Ms. Jackson is excited to return to her hometown for a book signing on Sunday, Dec. 12, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Thomas Persons Hall, 319 College Street. Books will be available for purchase.

The delightful speaker is a mother and grandmother, who enjoys writing, baking and decorating.

“I believe this story teaches children that if animals can love, share, forgive, hurt, cry and have compassion for each other, children can too.”
