Accidents Abound This Week

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) have been busy, responding to numerous accidents during the past week.

The top left photo shows an accident on West Washington Street at Church Street last Friday. Ayslan Tanisha Farmer of Covington was driving a 2015 Honda CR-V on Church Street and the traffic on West Washington Street was backed up. She pulled up to see if anything was coming, saw nothing and proceeded. At that time Chadwick Adam Goddard of Monticello was traveling on West Washington Street in a 2000 Honda Civic, and the two cars collided. Both vehicles were damaged.

The top right photo shows an accident on Hwy. 16 west at Clay Road which blocked the whole road for a time Tuesday morning. That accident was worked by Jasper County deputies and the report was not ready Wednesday morning.

The bottom photo shows an overturned tractor trailer on Hwy. 11 north, south of Tyson’s Country Store, which happened Tuesday morning. That accident was worked by officers with the Georgia State Patrol, and its system was down Wednesday morning so no information was available.
