Winner Gets All 15 Right

Last week’s football contest proved to be fairly easy with the winner correctly guessing the winner of all 15 games listed, and several others getting 14 right. Many were added to the Grand Prize Honor Roll which is a good thing since this is the last week of the contest, and therefore the last chance to get your name on the honor roll for four premium tickets to the Chick-fil-A/Peach Bowl in Atlanta on New Year’s Day.

Ed Hall was the lucky—or smart—one who got all 15 games right. For his efforts he won a prize from Covington Ford in Covington. However, he was unable to pick up his prize, so he sent his wife, Kasey Hall, to do the honors.

It was only fitting as back in 2015 Kasey won the prize from Covington Ford, and Mr. Hall picked it up for her. She still has the clipping in her office from that lucky day.

She also has the clipping where she won the grand prize, but isn’t sure of the year, other than it was prior to 2012.

Justin Dearro presented Mrs. Hall with Mr. Hall’s prize of $25 at Covington Ford in Covington. When Mrs. Hall won previously Mr. Dearro worked at Covington Ford in Monticello which has since closed.

This week contest players again have a chance at a $15 prize, this time from MD Heating and Air, sponsor of the week. It is also the last chance to get an entry into the Grand Prize Honor Roll drawing which will be held Monday, Dec. 16 at 2 p.m.

Anyone can play, and anyone can win, novice or veteran. One player picks winners for random reasons like cute mascot, team colors, etc., and has numerous chances on the honor roll. So there’s no way to have an edge. Anything can happen on any weekend in football.

So turn to page 8, fill out the entry form and submit it to The Monticello News no later than 5 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 6. Entries may be submitted in person to 247 West Washington Street, by fax to 706-468-6576, or by email to editor@themonticellonews.com.

Remember it’s your last chance at the Grand Prize Honor Roll. Please write legibly.
