SOCIAL STUDIES REGION FAIR

On March 1, four Jasper County High School students competed in the Region Social Studies Fair at Lambert High School in Suwanee. The competition included projects from the Northeast Region. Forsyth, Newton, Jasper, and Dawson counties were present. Eason Johnson won third place for his project “The Effects of Literacy Tests on Past Voters” and Brooklyn Esposito, Addison Cole, & Helen Grantham also won a third place ribbon. They presented their project “The Trail of Tears and the Impact on Cherokees.” Competing students qualified in December by placing as one of the top projects at the high school’s local Social Studies Fair. Bonnie Garvin acted as their sponsoring teacher.
