WPES Students Visit Jekyll Island

Fifth grade Safety Patrol students were invited to attend a special three day field trip to Jekyll Island 4-H Center on Jekyll Island.
Students left early last Monday morning and were back Wednesday afternoon. During this trip, students took many worthwhile classes such as beach ecology, marsh ecology, north island erosion studies, maritime forest development, dock studies- marine life, and shark dissection. They also had a special tour of Fort Frederica on St. Simon’s Island with the opportunity to participate in a new archeological dig program.
Participants on this trip included staff members, Brandy Fair, Emily Wilder, Chandra Goen, and Hung Cole and students Grayce Frew, Kinsley Carnes, Lane Carnes, Bristol Bennett, Violet Morgan, Brooklyn Mills, Ryan McCrea, Max McNure, Airabelle Davis, Jasper Campbell, Loralei Smith, Katherine Hill, Karter Sands, Kinslee Dearro, Victoria Ralston, Easton Bates, Levi Black, Rayna Fortner, Adyson Klepsig, JT Davis, Emily Glow, Ella Lamb, Kirstynn Loggins, Kinsley Farley, Davis Perry, Elijah Stone, Jordan Standifer, Caralee Bolen, Sophia Satterly, Landon Jones, Hudson Dietzel, Braxton Wilson, and Ryder Hill.
