Dick F. Gregory

Dick F. Gregory, 84, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington, IA.  He was born on May 13, 1940 in Kahoka, MO to Richard & Frances Evermon Gregory.  He married Janet A. Callison on September 17, 1960 in Kahoka, MO.  While living in Niota, IL, he owned and operated Gregory’s Garage and retired from Climax in Fort Madison in the maintenance department.  He enjoyed camping and travelling in the winter months.  He volunteered for 28 years at the Dallas City Rural Fire Department.

Dick is survived by: his wife: Janet Gregory of Fort Madison, IA; 1-daughter: Renota (Ray) Chambers of Packwood, IA; 5-grandchildren: Alex (Sarah), Evan, Brenna, Nellie & James; 7-great grandchildren: Olivia, Charlotte, Everly, Artemis, Ava, Rhemi & Royce; 1-sister: Beverly (Harold) Elmore of Sweet Home, OR; 1-sister in law: Virginia Callison of Wayland, MO & several nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-daughter: Melody, 1-son: Rodney, 1-brother: Danny Joe Gregory & 1-brother-in-law: Ronald Callison. 

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  The memorial service will immediately follow at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Steve Scott officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Fort Madison.  A memorial fund has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice or Dallas City Rural Fire Department.
