America Rise or Face Demise
Introduction: Is America going down? Has she drifted further from the God of the Bible? How low can you go? Do we have hope? Where does it appear we are headed? Is Judgment inevitable? Can we see the world being set up for the Religious, Political, and Economical leader that the Bible describes? And what can we do as believers in Jesus Christ?
1) America’s spirituality is falling into apostasy!—”And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, Mystery, Babylon The Great, The Mother Of Harlots And Abominations of the earth…” (Revelation 17:4-5, 16).
This woman (depicted as a whore) is called “Mystery Babylon”! Most scholars agree that she represents a false–apostate–church, otherwise known as Religious Babylon. Some even trace her roots to the days of Nimrod. As you recall, he attempted to build a tower into the heavens which would become a religious god to the world until the Lord confounded the language of those building it and scattered them throughout the known world.
Besides that, look at what is happening today; i.e. right is called wrong, good is called bad, light is called darkness, and truth is called lies and lies are called truth. This is paving the way for the great Apostasy Paul talked about in 2 Thessalonians 2:3.
That means we as Bible believers need to study the Word of God, draw close to Jesus Christ, and have discernment in these days. Why? Because these are days of Spiritual Apostasy. Consider the confusion of the new “buzz term” called “gendering”—whereas a person can change sexes through surgery or puberty blocking drugs, it becomes obvious that we live in a crazy and mixed up society. As it has been said, “you can dress up, cut up, or put on makeup, but ultimately we are who God made us. He doesn’t make mistakes!”
2) America politically and economically is heading for catastrophe!—”Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils… For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies” (Revelation 18:2-3). From the attempted assassination of former President Trump to Saudi Arabia’s new deal, things are seemingly spinning out of control. As of June 12, 2024, Saudi Arabia’s 50-year agreement with the U.S. has ceased and it will no longer exchange or take American money (U.S. Dollar).
Instead, they will make exchanges with the “yuan” (China), or even the “yen” as well as “euros.” While Revelation Chapter 18 describes a futuristic event where Commercial and Political Babylon fall—this event will be worldwide, which includes the U.S. if she is left after the rapture.
The Lord Jesus will bring “political and commercial” Babylon down, as He will “religious” Babylon. “The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her… And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! For in one hour so great riches is come to nought…” (Revelation 18:15-17).
This corrupt world system led by the Antichrist will come to a screeching halt as Jesus Christ overthrows it, and His government will be implemented during the millennium.
3) America’s Nationality Is Going To Witness The “King Of Kings” And “Lord Of Lords” Sovereignty!—”Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her” (Revelation 18:20). Vengeance is the Lord’s! Jesus will establish His sovereign throne as He deals with those who usurp authority.
“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone” (Revelation 19:19-20). Satan’s Superman and his followers will be dealt one final blow as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords asserts His dominion and authority.
Conclusion: Jesus Christ from eternity past to eternity future has decreed to deliver His people from Satan’s attempt to control the world. Through His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins and glorious resurrection from the dead, we can be brought into a personal relationship by turning and trusting by faith in His finished works. Moreover, thank God, Jesus will come again fulfilling His promise—that is our blessed hope!! He will put down all rebellion, and of His Kingdom there shall be no end. “Even so come, Lord Jesus.”
