AI & the Big Lie
Introduction: Probably by now you’ve heard of AI—Artificial Intelligence. Last week, the U.S. foreign relations committee met with Pete Ricketts [representative from Nebraska] who reported concerns for the swift advancement of “Artificial Intelligence.”
There has already been some misinformation that has circulated throughout our country and the world. For example, through “Deep Fakes,” the Ukrainian President Zelensky was heard voicing his surrender to the Russians. Needless to say, it was not true. AI is not necessarily bad—there can be some good uses.
But where is all this going? John—inspired by God, writes concerning the future capabilities of the Antichrist and False Prophet. Could AI play a role in this future scenario?
Consider the four areas that Artificial Intelligence is prone to impact:
1) Artificial Intelligence in our Home!—”And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed” (Revelation 13:14). This “image” that will be set up by the False Prophet will be able to “speak.” The word means to talk. Perhaps the Antichrist will set this “image”; i.e. Artificial Intelligence in the temple midway of the tribulation.
Now, through facial recognition, which is operated by a camera and linked to a criminal database, homeowners can immediately detect criminals attempting to break into their home. Smart fabric (clothes) can register a person’s temperature with virtual checkups with a doctor in your bathroom.
Smart tables have the capability to keep coffee hot and ice tea cold by just sitting on top of the table without being plugged into an outlet. Solar panels provide electricity to homes and cars. By the way, an article just written mentioned that in seven years, solar panels will be piled in landfills [junk piles] the size of 3,000 Football Fields!
Fantasy has turned into Reality!!
2) Artificial Intelligence in our Heart!—”And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon” (Revelation 13:11). The False Prophet will come as a religious ruler with a “Fake” religion. Many believe he will come from Israel, whereas the Antichrist will be a gentile. However today, Christian relationships must not be established by AI, but instead by the H.S. (Holy Spirit).
While there are some benefits [medically, etc.] in this new technology, there are some legitimate ethical concerns as well. Do you think the WEF [World Economic Forum] is headed that way?
3) Artificial Intelligence in our Health!—”And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed” (Revelation 13:12). Did you notice the “deadly wound was healed”? Satan will heal the Antichrist. Some suggest that is the resurrection of the Revived Roman Empire.
Meanwhile—mental, physical, and spiritual healing is greatly needed today. While AI can be used for some healing—only Jesus Christ can bring real spiritual healing! Forgiveness of our sins can be found through His precious, redeeming blood!!
Have you discovered that freedom by being washed clean and also restored back into fellowship with our God through our Lord Jesus Christ? That is great news!!
4) Artificial Intelligence not in Heaven!—”And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name…” (Revelation 13:8, 16-18). Jesus—depicted as the Stone in Daniel, Chapter Two, will crush the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Their run will come to an abrupt end! Jesus will then establish His kingdom on earth. Immediately following the thousand years, He will create a New Heaven and a New Earth, without the help of Artificial Intelligence. There will be no more sickness, sorrow or sin in that city called the New Jerusalem.
Conclusion: Our Lord desires for all to turn from sin and trust in Him. Have you? Remember—Jesus is in control even with the technology of Artificial Intelligence. Get ready, there is more to come. But the Christian’s hope and assurance is found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Do you have that? Why not today?
