FBLA Competes at Conference in Atlanta
Jasper County High School (JCHS) Future Business Leader of America (FBLA) member Lindsey Thomas placed fifth in the state in the word processing event at the Georgia FBLA Conference which was recently held in Atlanta.
As part of her contest, Miss Thomas completed a production test in Microsoft Word where she had to create, edit and produce various documents for business.
Others participating in the state competition and their respective events were J.D. Williams, Community Service Project and Healthcare Administration; Faith Cook, Agribusiness; Reagan Mask, Community Service Project and Organizational Leadership; Mikayla Ripley, Healthcare Administration; Cameran Tuggle, Community Service Project and Healthcare Administration; Abigail Garland, Introduction to Business Procedures; and Zymere Marshall, Healthcare Administration.
Also not pictured is Tiffani McClain, Computer Applications.
While at the conference, each of the attendees participated in several leadership workshops as well as observing the finals round of several competitions.
The group was accompanied by FBLA advisers Johnnie Sue Moore and JCHS assistant principal Marty Claxton.
FBLA is the co-curricular organization in the Business, Management and Administration career cluster, which is part of the Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) program at JCHS. Mrs. Moore and Amy Scroggs are the FBLA advisers.
